This strikes me as a GREAT price.

$3500 for a C4 Corvette, okay that’s good. First year LT1, also good. 6 speed is the most possible good.

On the down side, 188k. But SBC doesn’t give a shit about mileage, so I wouldn’t even worry about it.

I think I’d take the car with the mileage? I prefer red, and the LT1 is a pretty good engine so the mileage doesn’t even bug me a ton. Though in fairness, the pictures here are grainy, so this car could very well need paint as well.

Figure in 12k miles you're going to be replacing the opti spark, because I think they just have a little count down timer in them that makes them fail right at 100k. Still, worth it.

I used to sell some Opti Spark units each spring when somebody would get the bright idea to pressure wash an engine. I had one DIY customer who lost the drive coupler that fell into the drain pan he used to catch coolant when he removed the water pump. The fool threw the coolant away into a storm drain along with the coupler. Doh! I need to write a book about all those type of people who have come into our shop.

At 188k the opti has likely failed already. Anyone with half a brain will replace it with an MSD or something else ventilated so it doesn’t happen again, I would put a decent bet on that being the case here.
